Figure 8 Stickhandle

Drill #1 - Figure 8 Stickhandle

Start with two objects spaced evenly in front of you, one on each side. Starting from the middle, stickhandle in a figure 8 pattern, going around each object in turn. Adjust the object distance and pace to suit your comfort level. Try doing the drill in both directions!

For an extra challenge, try going as fast as you can!


T Stop

Drill #2 - T Stop

Start in a hockey position. Take a few strides, then drag one foot behind you at a 90 degree angle to stop. This is the T stop! Practice until you are comfortable stopping with either foot. 

For an extra challenge, try adding a turn!
